Kate recorded harmony vocals for the album, Goodnight My Angel, released in 2020 by Lee and Sarah Atkinson. The three women make up the folk trio, The Cicadas, a mostly a cappella trio covering folk and roots songs that inspire them. The Cicadas performed in the 2019 North Carolina Folk Festival.
